Priyanshi

The first baby girl born in her joint family on 27th December 2021 in Loni, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. She holds a special place in the hearts of her doting grandparents, bringing immense joy to their lives. Priyanshi's father, the sole breadwinner, works as a hawker, striving to support his family of five dependents.

At just 10-15 days old, Priyanshi's parents noticed alarming signs. She would experience recurring fevers and struggle to breathe, gasping for air. Worried and desperate for answers, they embarked on a journey through multiple government hospitals, searching for a diagnosis. Finally, at Sri Ganga Ram Hospital, doctors suspected a cardiac condition and recommended two surgeries with an estimated cost of 5 lakhs rupees.

In their darkest hour, Priyanshi's family found a ray of hope in the form of the Child Heart Foundation. Referred by a friend whose child had received life-saving treatment through CHF, they reached out for support. At the foundation's center, Priyanshi underwent an echo that confirmed her cardiac disease: a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). The recommended treatment, VSD Device Closure, came with a hefty price tag of approximately 4 lakhs rupees.

Faced with the overwhelming financial burden, Priyanshi's family felt a sense of relief when Smile of Hope and the Child Heart Foundation extended their support. These incredible organizations rallied together to organize the necessary funds, ensuring that Priyanshi would receive the life-saving treatment she desperately needed.

As Priyanshi turned one year old on 27th January 2023, the Child Heart Foundation celebrated this joyous milestone. With love and support from Smile of Hope, birthday gifts and cards were sent, symbolizing the immense hope and happiness that surround Priyanshi's journey.

Priyanshi is fine now and doing his daily activities like any other child.
